Most of the spread comes from two things. One is whether the old steps can stay or have to be torn out, and the other is brick versus stone. These are working ranges, and every quote is confirmed in writing before any work starts.

A new set of brick steps usually wraps up in two to three weeks, and a repair is often done in a couple of days. We would rather let the footing cure than rush the masonry onto it, because that is where most step failures start.
If your steps are stone, see our stonework page. Failing mortar on an otherwise sound stoop is a brick pointing job, and when the apron or sidewalk in front of the house needs work too, we handle that through our concrete sidewalk service. If a new concrete driveway is on the list as well, it makes sense to schedule both together.
