Serving Staten Island Since 2014

Stucco Repair Staten Island

Stucco looks fine from the curb right up until it does not. A hairline crack spiders after a couple of freeze-thaw winters, a stain spreads under a window, or an old patch has gone a different shade. NDCCNY has repaired stucco across Staten Island since 2014. The cracking you see is usually the messenger, not the message, because cracks let water in and water behind stucco does the real damage. We find why it cracked, fix that, then patch and match so the repair blends in. Our own crew does the work.

Why Staten Island Homeowners Call Us

We are a licensed and insured stucco and masonry contractor based in Bulls Head, central Staten Island. We repair both traditional stucco and EIFS, diagnosed as the different systems they are, and we fix the underlying cause before we finish so the repair lasts. You get a free on-site assessment, a written estimate within 24 hours, texture and color matched, and work we stand behind. NYC Home Improvement Contractor license #2127843-DCWP.

We Fix the Cause

The crack is usually the messenger. We find the water path or movement behind it and fix that, not just fill what you can see.

Texture and Color Matched

We work the finish coat to match the surrounding texture and blend the color so the repair does not read as a patch.

Traditional Stucco and EIFS

We identify which system you have first and repair it correctly, because they behave very differently with moisture.

Licensed and Insured

NYC Home Improvement Contractor #2127843-DCWP, fully insured, with our own crew on every stucco repair.

Why Choose NDCCNY for Stucco

What Actually Causes Stucco to Fail

Patching a crack without knowing why it cracked just buys a few months. Stucco fails when water gets behind it through a crack, a bad flashing detail, or a failed window seal, when freeze-thaw widens an existing crack every winter, when the house moves and the rigid stucco cannot, or when a previous patch was done wrong. EIFS over foam can trap moisture badly and hide it. Find the cause, fix it, then finish. That order is what makes a stucco repair last.

Excellent work from start to finish. The contractor handled the excavation for the test pit, restored the area with concrete, and cleaned everything up afterward. When I came home, everything was in perfect order. Professional, reliable, and easy to work with.
Professional work, timely and detailed, honest and sincere looking forward to working with NDC again in the very near future.

I highly recommend Adeel and his team! This is the second time I’ve worked with him, and the experience was just as great as the first. They recently put down pavers and created a new carport parking spot in front of my house. The quality of the work is top-notch, and they completed the job quickly and professionally. Adeel is always a pleasure to work with—reliable, professional, and excellent at what he does.

I have confidence in giving Adel the highest recommendation possible. He took a dangerous and hard job and made it look easy.

I recently had my driveway redone, which included both pavers and concrete, as well as a planter installation, and I couldn't be happier with the results! In fact, two of my neighbors had followed in my steps and used this contractor for their driveways as well. After interviewing several contractors, I found this one to be the most responsive and reasonable. He not only had a clear vision for my driveway but even presented it alongside an image, which helped me visualize the final outcome.

To my delight, the finished driveway turned out even better than I had anticipated! This contractor is brimming with innovative ideas for enhancing the area he works on, and it was evident that he treated my project and my home as if they were his own. He was always respectful, polite, and kept every promise he made. It was obvious to me that he valued a returning customer and for him keeping a good relationship with a customer even after the job was finished was just as important as gaining a new customer.

Throughout the process, he was consistently available to communicate and always listened to my input. The experience felt like a productive and positive dialogue between myself, the contractor, and his crew. I would not hesitate to work with him again for any future projects. Highly recommend!

Stucco Repair Staten Island: Common Questions

Stucco Repair Staten Island: Common Questions

Stucco cracks for a few reasons: freeze-thaw working on the surface, the house settling and moving while the rigid stucco cannot, water getting behind it, or a previous patch done wrong. Fine hairline cracks are common and mostly cosmetic, but wider or spidering cracks let water in, and water behind stucco is what causes the serious damage. The repair has to address why it cracked, not just fill it.

Most stucco can be repaired. Cracks, localized water damage, and failed patches are fixable without redoing the whole wall. Full re-stucco is only needed when the existing coat has failed widely, is delaminating across large areas, or was installed poorly to begin with. We tell you honestly which one your wall needs instead of defaulting to the bigger job.

It depends on how much area is damaged, whether it is simple crack repair or cutting out and rebuilding water-damaged sections, whether the cause needs fixing too, and whether it is traditional stucco or EIFS. A few cracks are a small job; widespread water damage behind the wall is bigger. We assess it on site and give a free written estimate.

Traditional stucco is a cement-based multi-coat finish applied over a wall. EIFS, sometimes called synthetic stucco, is a foam-board system with a thin synthetic finish coat. They look similar but behave very differently, especially with moisture, and they have to be repaired as the systems they are. We identify which one you have first.

We match the texture and color as closely as possible so the repair blends in. New stucco cures a slightly different shade than aged stucco, so on a small patch in a very visible spot we will sometimes recommend blending the finish across a larger section or a natural break in the wall, which looks far better than a visible patched square.

Warning signs include staining or streaking on the stucco, especially under windows and at corners, stucco that sounds hollow when tapped, bubbling or soft spots, cracks that keep coming back after being filled, and damp or musty areas inside on an exterior wall. Any of those means it is worth having it looked at before the damage spreads.

Yes. Stucco is commonly applied over masonry like brick or concrete block with the right preparation and bonding, and it is a good way to give a tired masonry wall a clean, uniform finish. We assess the wall first to make sure it is sound and prepped so the new stucco bonds and lasts.
