Serving Staten Island Since 2014
The sidewalk in front of your Staten Island home is legally your responsibility, and a NYC DOT violation or a 311 complaint puts it on the record until it is fixed to city standard. OUR SIDEWALK SERVICES
We handle DOT sidewalk violation removal, sidewalk repair, full frontage replacement, trip-hazard and lifted-flag correction, tree-root and tree-pit repair, curb and apron work, and ADA-compliant pedestrian ramps, all built to NYC standard.
Why Choose NDCCNY for Sidewalks
The city inspects, flags defects like trip hazards and cracked flags, and records a violation against the property. It does not go away on its own. It stays until the sections are rebuilt to standard and confirmed, and you can be liable if someone falls on a known defect. A cheap patch that is not to spec does not clear it. We build to that standard so the repair counts.

TESTIMONIAL

We repair and replace sidewalks across Staten Island, working out of Bulls Head. If your street is not named below, call anyway. There is a good chance we have already poured a few flags on a block near you.
On the North Shore we are regularly in West Brighton, Stapleton, Port Richmond and Clifton. Mid-Island jobs take us to Bulls Head, Willowbrook and Castleton Corners. On the South Shore we work in New Dorp, Oakwood, Great Kills and Tottenville.
Sidewalk jobs in Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst and Dyker Heights are on our list too, along with select projects in Bayonne, New Jersey.
Sidewalk cost comes down to how many flags need replacing and what is lifting them. A single cracked flag is a small job. A full frontage with tree roots underneath is a bigger one. These are the ranges we have been quoting Staten Island homeowners this year. A real number comes after we walk the frontage and see what the city flagged.
| Sidewalk job | Typical scope | 2026 price range |
|---|---|---|
| Replace a single cracked or lifted flag | one flag, about 5 ft by 5 ft | $500 - $950 |
| Replace the sidewalk across a typical house frontage | 3 - 5 flags | $2,200 - $5,000 |
| Extra work where tree roots have lifted the flags | per flag | $300 - $900 |
| Concrete apron replacement, DOT permitted | 100 - 200 sq ft | $2,800 - $5,500 |
| Sectional repair of a cracked flag that can stay | per panel | $800 - $1,800 |
Roots and access are the two things that move the price most. These are working ranges, and every quote is confirmed in writing before any work starts. If the job touches the curb or apron, we handle the DOT permit as part of the work.
| Phase | Duration |
|---|---|
| Site visit and written estimate | 24 - 72 hours |
| DOT permit, if the job needs one | 1 - 3 weeks |
| Tear-out of the old flags | 1 day |
| Base prep and forms | 1 day |
| Pour and finish | 1 day |
| Initial cure, no foot traffic | 24 hours |
| Full cure before heavy loads | 7 days |
Once the permit is in hand, most sidewalk jobs are done in three days of work, with the cure running after that. We would rather give the concrete its full week than send you back out to a lifted edge. You get a firm schedule in the written estimate.
If the driveway meets the sidewalk at the apron, our concrete driveway page covers pouring the two together. For other poured work see our concrete contractor page, and if the front steps are cracking along with the sidewalk, have a look at our front steps page.
